Individual therapy and EMDR

Individual Therapy

The work done in individual therapy depends on the ability to feel safe and seen. We start here, building the trust necessary to dive into the work that comes next.

Therapy is a collaborative process, and we move at a pace that supports your needs. Alongside EMDR, I provide a range of approaches we can tailor to meet your specific goals, including:

  • Parts work, such as Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Ego States work
  • Somatic work
  • Attachment work
  • Mindfulness
  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
  • Motivational Interviewing

Your comfort and confidence in our work together matter most. I invite you to schedule a free 15-minute consultation so we can connect and see if my approach aligns with your needs.

EMDR

Sometimes painful experiences compact around us like hardened soil, leaving our system on high alert. EMDR therapy acts like a gentle rain to soften that ground and uses side-by-side eye movements, tapping, or sounds to help break stuck patterns. EMDR doesn't change your past, but it loosens the grip it may have, so your system can adapt and grow- often more quickly than talk therapy alone.

Common questions

Things people ask

How much does therapy cost?
  • 15 minute consultation call: Free
  • 50 minute session: $160
  • 90 minute EMDR session: $225
  • A sliding fee scale is available if the full rate is out of reach.
  • I can provide a superbill for insurers I am not paneled with, which many plans will reimburse at out-of-network rates.
How long does therapy take?

Some people come to therapy with a specific, contained issue and may meet their goals in a few months. Others are undoing patterns built over decades and stay longer. We will talk openly about progress as we go.

What happens in the first session?

Mostly, I listen. We will cover what brings you in, some history, and what you would like to work on together. You do not need to prepare anything or arrive with your story neatly organized.

Do you offer telehealth?

Yes, based on your preference, I offer telehealth and in-person. EMDR can be provided with either option.

What is your cancellation policy?

Please give at least 24 hours notice so the time can be offered to someone else. Late cancellations and missed sessions are charged at the full session rate, with room for genuine emergencies.

What if I cannot afford your full rate?

I secure several reduced-rate spots on my caseload. I welcome you to reach out regarding current availability. If I am unable to accommodate you right now, I am also here to help you find someone who can.
