About Gina Cohn, LCSW

my why
Supporting high-risk patients during the COVID-19 pandemic deeply impacted how I view our capacity to endure and adapt. Navigating that period of profound uncertainty, loss, and change sparked a lasting curiosity about how individuals and communities process trauma. Today, that experience still informs my therapeutic practice, fueling my passion for helping clients navigate through seasons of grief and growth.
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Colorado, I support adults and older adults navigating trauma, grief, chronic health issues, and major life transitions. I’m especially drawn to helping people through the times when life feels unfamiliar, complicated, or heavier than expected. I want therapy to be a place where you feel understood, can make sense of what you’re carrying, and begin to find your footing again.
Outside of sessions, I'm usually enjoying music, spending quality time with friends and family, getting outside and adventuring, cooking foods that probably don’t have an English name, getting lost in a novel, or grounding with my dog.

my style
Collaborative, paced, and supportive.
I offer flexible therapy online or in person in Arvada to fit your life needs. My approach uses evidence-based tools like EMDR, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, body-based somatic work, parts work, and motivational interviewing. I create a welcoming, safe space for LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC clients with culturally and neurodiversity-affirming support.
